This year for the first time the jury of Gdańsk DocFilm Festival will nominate polish authors for the Jan Machulski Young Cinema Award. The jury will pick nominees out of all polish documentaries in the main competition in the following categories:

– “Best documentary”

– “Best cinematography”

– “Best editing”

Jan Machulski Awards is a project to introduce, promote and honour the most gifted young filmmakers, who were until now outside the cinematographic mainstream.

OFFOWA AKADEMIA FILMOWA – an assembly of experts (filmmakers, journalists and producers) will award the winners according to nominations presented by independent juries from head polish independent film festivals.
