Andrzej Fidyk – Author of over 40 documentaries for TVP, BBC, Arte, Canal+, WDR, and more. His most popular films include Defilada (The Parade), Kiniarze z Kalkuty (Cameramen from Calcutta), Taniec trzcin (Dance of the Reeds), Rosyjski Striptease (Russian Striptease), and Yodok Stories.
Winner of several dozen film festivals. He believes that a documentary, apart from having other assets, should be encouraging for an average viewer.
For several years he was the Head of Documentaries at Polish Television 1. His TV documentaries Czas na dokument (Time for a documentary), Miej oczy szeroko otwarte (Keep Your Eyes Open) and
Oglądaj z Andrzejem Fidykiem (Watch with Andrzej Fidyk) received Wiktor’s Award, meaning that they were considered to be the best documentaries in Poland.
Author of several dozen publicity films, and the winner of national advertisement festival in 2006.
Film art professor at the Department of Radio and TV at University of Silesia.
